The versatility of the E100 ultra-wide input range converter has been extended and this unique product is now in full production. A mounting kit and various termination options now provide for most connection and mounting requirements.

New X55 series supercedes our models X50T12M and X50T15M (50W medical multi-output switchers), which have been very popular due to their low profile and realistic price. But there has been some feedback from customers regarding the high transformer temperature and also poor efficiency at light loads. All three products have now been re-designed to address this feedback.

The new series “X55” retains the good features while eliminating the former products’ “bad habits”. The dimensions, including 0.8-inch overall height (the lowest in the industry for 50W), mutually isolated outputs and IEC60601-1 (PC) compliance remain. The emc margin to class B has been improved and maximum output boosted to 55W.

The new model is sampling now, processing through the CB approval process, and volume shipments will commence in October. Scheduled orders held for X50 series will be filled in future by the equivalent X55 model. There is a slight price reduction.

While these multinationals are provided with the same ultra-wide input range of 17.5V to 200V, the power levels for each triple-output converter are different, being 40W, 55W and 100W. Mechanical features and supervisory circuits also differ significantly between the three products.
